How to Use

Query Jira Issues from the Quick Bar and display in the Sidebar. You can also create new issues from the sidebar without navigating away from the current page.

Requirements

Quick Bar: You will need to setup the Quick Bar if you have not done so previously. To do this, follow the Quick Bar setup documentation.


Activate the Blueprint

  1. Activate this blueprint. If you're not logged into PixieBrix or you have not previously created a PixieBrix account, you'll be prompted to do so before continuing the activation flow for this blueprint.

  2. Once you are logged in, configure the Jira Integration by clicking Add New in the Integrations dropdown and entering your Atlassian API token and project URL. You can get your Atlassian API token at https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens, and the URL of your project follow this format: example.atlassian.net

  3. Finish activating this blueprint by clicking "Activate" in the Extension Console.

Try it Out

  1. On any webpage, activate the Quick Bar using the keyboard shortcut you configured in the Quick Bar setup documentation. Choose "Jira Sidebar"

  2. Viola - PixieBrix returns a list of Jira issues organized by project and issue type.

  3. You can also click "Create New Issue in PROJECT" to create a new issue in that project.
