Insert templated text into Github Issues, PRs & more - saves you time and headspace!
How to Use
This allows you to pre-fill the input textarea of any Github Issue or Pull Request page - using a template that follows the most common best practices.
Although the this content is geared toward writing Issues or Pull Request, you can customize the code to handle any other type of writing, including Github wiki pages, comments etc. You can also adapt it to work on a different git platform altogether.
This uses the following bricks:
- Context Menu: to trigger the opening of the menu
- Show a modal or sidebar form: to accept user input
- jq - JSON processor: to handle the logic and find pick the right template from the ones available
- Set Input Value: to set the selected template in the page’s textarea field
